We love our team of instructors, office employees, and assistants here at ADC and you will too! Our close-knit staff takes the needs of our students very seriously, while providing a productive, yet fun environment for them to train in. On this page we share a little bit about where our staff comes from and what makes them so qualified!
ASHLEY
CORBIERE-DESORMEAU
Owner and Dance Instructor
Ashley is the founder and owner of Allure Dance Company. She is a member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD), having received her diplomas in Ballet and Jazz. She is a graduate of the Sherry Walsh Academy of Dance Arts and is technically trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Acro.
​
Ashley's continued goal is to provide a welcoming learning environment where the students are pushed to their full potential due to her structured, but fun, teaching style. In addition to her students learning the art of dance, Ashley instills traits such as diligence, creativity, confidence, and professionalism that they can apply to all aspects of their lives.
​
She is a graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelor's in Resort Management and minors in Club Management, Restaurant Management, and Recreation Management. She was a member of the FSU Women's Basketball team. Ashley is the co-owner of Three One Three Venue, which is located below the studio.
KAREN CORBIERE
Office Manager and Parent Liaison
Karen is the Office Manager & Bookkeeper for Allure Dance Company. She has a strong business background and was a high school Accounting teacher for 28 years. Karen was also a BPA Advisor for 25 years. She was a volunteer coordinator of the recreational gymnastics program that was offered through Sault Schools for 18 years.
​
Having seven children who were competitive in dance, gymnastics, and college athletics, Karen can relate to the parents of our students and serves as the parent liaison for the studio.
​
Ashley loves working so closely with her mother and attributes her studio's success to their partnership.
JENNA JODOIN
Dance Instructor
Jenna has instructed various classes including Movement, Intro to Dance, Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical during her time at ADC. She specializes in Tap and has been an integral part of this style's growth over the years. She danced competitively at Studio Dance Arts in Sault, Ontario. During high school Jenna was a 4 year member of the Sault High Pom Pon squad, with Captain status for 2 of those years. She was given the opportunity to perform at EPCOT, and danced in Disney's Magic Kingdom parade. She was a member of the LSSU Dance Company for four years, holding the title of Vice President for her final two years.

Jenna is a graduate of Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Counseling & Dance. Jenna currently owns Tot Spot daycare.
MINDY MCCREADY
Acro Dance Director, Dance Instructor
Mindy has been an instructor at ADC since 2011 and currently runs the Acro Dance program. She received her extensive training at the Sault Gymnastics Club in Soo, Ontario and reached her level IX through USA Gymnastics. She was a member of Western Michigan University's gymnastics team. Her competitive background and expertise are valuable assets in skill development, level progression, and choreography.
​
She is a graduate of WMU with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Mindy also received her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Lawrence Tech. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Interim Dean of the College of Innovation and Solutions at Lake Superior State University.

ALISON CHENEY
Dance Instructor
Alison teaches various levels of Ballet, including the curriculum for the Pre Pointe and Pointe classes. She started dancing at the age of 5 at Mt. Laurel Regional Ballet Company. Due to her family moving frequently, she received training at various studios and companies including Coupe Dance Studio under the training of Ms. Diane Frankie, Madame Nanette Charise, & Robert Tucker; Joffrey Ballet in New York City under the training of Lynne Glauber, principal dancer; and SWADA under the training of Sherry Walsh.
​
She has administered private instruction, as well as taught for organizations such as the C.C.S.S. and local studios including Just Dance & Sault Theatre. She resides in Rudyard with her husband and 3 children.
MICHAELA CRANE
Dance Instructor
Michaela is a graduate of Allure Dance Company. During her dance career she assisted with numerous genres and levels of classes to gain teaching experience. After graduating, she taught various styles and currently leads the Movement & Intro to Dance Program. All of our littles love & adore Miss Michaela.

She was heavily involved with the 4-H program and has an immense love for animals, especially for her St. Bernard Sully and Black Lab Ollie. She is a Finance Clerk at the Chippewa County Health Department.

MAKENNA CORBIERE
Dance Instructor
MaKenna was trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Acro at ADC. She completed BATD level examinations in Blue Riband Acro (the highest level we offer) as well as Grade IV Ballet. She assisted with various classes and levels during her dance career. She currently teaches, as well as assists with multiple levels of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap classes. She leads choreography for our well-known Grand Finale.
​
She was a three-year member of the Sault High Pom Pon squad, receiving Most Valuable Pom two of those years. She was given the opportunity to perform at Universal Studios, Animal Kingdom and has attended numerous workshops instructed by professional choreographers. She was the Libero for Sault High's Volleyball team, receiving 2nd team All-Conference & All-Region.

She is enrolled at Lake Superior State University, majoring in Business Administration & Management.
KAMIE
CORBIERE-SWANSON
Dance Instructor
Kamie is an Acro instructor and assists with skill and curriculum development, as well as choreography. She has an extensive background in dance and gymnastics. She trained in Acro, Jazz, Tap, and Lyrical and competed duets and solos in Sault Ontario under Dance Crays Studio. She assisted and instructed various styles of classes. Kamie trained at Sault Gymnastics Club in Sault Ontario, as well as coached and choreographed for the recreational gymnastics program through Sault Schools. She was a member of the Sault High Varsity Basketball and Track teams.
​
Kamie is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy. She is an OT in various settings through My Michigan Health System. She is thrilled to be working alongside her family while providing instruction to our local youth.
PAIGE MARCHAND
Dance Instructor
Paige danced at Allure for ten seasons, graduating from Sault Area High School. She is a versatile and accomplished dancer with experience in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Acro. She assisted with numerous classes for several years and took on the role of teaching her own class as a Junior in high school. She received BATD certifications in Blue Riband Acro (the highest level we offer), as well as Grade IV Ballet. She currently teaches Ballet, Jazz, and Tap, and assists with numerous styles and levels.

She is enrolled at Lake Superior State University, majoring in Nursing.

ERIKA
LAITINEN-ODBERT
Dance Instructor
Erika has been sharing her commitment to excellence in the dance arts for over 15 years, instructing Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, and Jazz. With over 25 years of experience, she danced competitively with Trixie Hardy Dance Studio and Studio Dance Arts, both of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She travelled internationally and within the US competing, performing, and attending numerous workshops. Erika has extensive BATD training, focusing primarily in the study of Ballet.
​
She currently teaches various levels and styles including Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical. Her nurturing demeanor and expertise in technical development is an asset to our program and students.
​
Erika obtained degrees from Bay Mills Community College. She will graduate in May with a Bachelor's degree in Native Studies with a minor in Business. She is the Life Skills instructor for grades 7 and 8 at the Sault Area Middle School.

MORGAN JORGENSEN
Dance Instructor
While a student at LSSU, Morgan joined our team of Acro instructors. After moving and working in her field of degree for a couple years, she made her way back to the Sault and rejoined our staff. She was a competitive gymnast for 10 years at Branch Gymnastics in Battle Creek, MI.
​
Morgan received her Bachelor's degree in Science from Lake Superior State University. She currently manages Northern Life Yoga studio and instructs classes including various levels of Yoga & Barre. She obtained her 200 hour yoga certification and 25 hour restorative certification. She loves kayaking, gardening, cooking seed to fork, making her own lotions, and fireside company. She especially enjoys these hobbies with her daughter Lakyn Jade.

MADELYN BARIL
Dance Instructor
Madelyn is an ADC alum and previously instructed Movement, Intro, Lyrical, & Jazz classes. She left the Sault for two years, working in Traverse City, but recently returned home and is thrilled to be a part of the Allure faculty once again. She has 14 years of dance experience, and is trained in Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical styles. She has performed and taken classes in Orlando and Los Angeles during her high school dance/pom career.
​
She graduated from LSSU with a degree in Nursing. She currently works as an RN in labor & delivery. She enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family, running, and snuggling her black Lab Callie.

ALLIE TOBER
Dance Instructor
A Grand Rapids native, Allie's academic endeavors led her to the Soo. This is her third season with ADC and first season as a Jazz instructor. She is excited to take on this new role and continue to share her love of dance with all of the students. She continues to assist in numerous levels of Ballet, Pointe, and Lyrical. Allie has several years of dance experience and training, spending four of those years on a competitive dance team. She is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, and Tap.

She is currently enrolled at Lake Superior State University, completing her final year of Nursing.
